(*) The route will, commencing at Brisbane Grove and Windellama Roads intersection, follow the original route of the 1924 race – to Windellama, Bungonia, along Mountain Ash Road past the motorcycle monument and returning via Brisbane Grove Road to the Goulburn Show Ground. Route re-run covers a distance of approximately 80kms.

Riders to note, that from the Goulburn Show Ground to the start point of the rally is 5 kms, and at the conclusion of the ride, the distance from the finish point to the Goulburn Show Ground is 5 kms.

This is a wonderful opportunity for all participating riders to replay history, and a wonderful opportunity for spectators to ‘see’ history as each motorcycle joins in the replay of this event.

All makes and models of motorcycle are welcome to enter, conditional on them being either fully registered or under historic registration. It will be a moving timeline from motorcycles made in the early 1900s to those manufactured today.

The entire route will be marshalled, back-up drivers will escort each group, a lead rider will set the pace and guide riders will be at work within each group.

‘Yes’, it will be cold – an inevitable condition of Goulburn in June - but this rally offers a rare opportunity. Not just to celebrate a milestone in time, but to honour those who rode in that original race 100 years ago. There will be family members to those in the 1924 race who, with much emotion, will retrace the wheel turns of their forebears.

There will be aspiring young riders who, simply in the knowledge that many of those original racers became riders of significance, will be hoping to reach the same levels within the motorcycle world.

There will be riders who have travelled the world and represented Australia at the highest level, who just want to enjoy this special occasion. … and then, there will be all those who love their motorbike and never let an opportunity to ride, go begging.

During the day, shuttle buses will be available to everyone wishing to view the rally. These buses will make four stops along the route, at designated times during the day. These stops will be Windellama Public School, Windellama Hall, Johnno’s General Store & Café, and Bungonia Hall.
